Additional snowfall may be headed towards the Southern Coast of B.C., already draped in a white blanket of snow

The South Coast of British Columbia has recently experienced significant winter weather conditions. According to Global BC meteorologist Kristi Gordon, snowfall varies across the region, with some areas blanketed with up to 40 cm of snow.

The regions most affected by this snowfall include southeast Vancouver Island, encompassing areas like Nanaimo and Chemainus, along with the Sunshine Coast and North and West Vancouver. While more snow flurries might occur on Tuesday, Gordon suggests that significant snow accumulation is unlikely.

Gordon further predicts another potential snowfall later on Wednesday, continuing into Thursday morning. However, the quantity of this snowfall remains uncertain. Areas like Southeast Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley might experience between zero to 10 cm of snow, while the Victoria region could see up to 4 cm.

The weather is expected to clear up on Thursday and Friday, providing a short respite before the possibility of more snow over the weekend. This weather update is particularly significant for those planning to travel or invest in these regions and wish to stay informed about the weather conditions.
