Twos is a task management application leveraging artificial intelligence to recommend steps for task completion.

The ultimate goal of corporations creating AI-powered productivity tools is to design solutions capable of autonomously completing tasks. However, initial demonstrations of these tools haven’t always lived up to these expectations.

A task management application named Twos is taking a unique approach to this issue. When you input a task, it can provide relevant action suggestions. These suggestions could involve providing a website link or helping you draft a message to fulfill a task. The aim is to recommend suitable websites or applications for task completion.

To utilize the AI-powered suggestion feature, all you need to do is jot down your tasks as you normally would. The app’s AI model will then evaluate whether it can offer a useful suggestion. For instance, if you type in “Purchase paper napkins,” you might receive suggestions for links to Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, with ‘paper napkins’ as the pre-populated search terms.

If you note down an upcoming birthday or anniversary, the app will prompt you to add a reminder to your calendar, send a message to the person, or procure a gift card for them.

While the feature performs effectively in most scenarios, it currently suggests services primarily oriented towards the U.S. market for categories such as shopping, ticket buying, and food delivery. To cater to a global audience, the company needs to improve its localization.

The challenge for Twos lies in ensuring this feature functions reliably, encouraging users to repeatedly use the AI feature. Only then can the app hope to attract users from other apps like Apple Notes and convince them to switch to Twos.

Twos was established in 2021 by ex-Google engineer Parker Klein and Joe Steilberg. The app currently has a user base of over 25,000 active members. It’s accessible on the web, Android, and iOS and is free to use. Users have the option to activate “Plus” features such as tag and hyperlink addition, custom home screen creation, auto-sorting, and template utilization. Each feature can be purchased separately, with each currently priced at $2.

In the previous year, the startup also launched an AI assistant that aids users in list creation. If you’re curious about similar offerings, other apps like Hypelist are utilizing AI models to assist users in building their recommendation lists.
