Nestled in the northwestern highlands of Yunnan, there’s a sought-after location that has been recognized as Shangri-La since 2001. Back when Bruce Connolly explored it in 1995, it was referred to as Zhongdian. This town partially realized Bruce’s vision of Tibet.
