Israeli equities rise at trading end; TA 35 elevates by 2.60% as reported by Investing.com

“Stocks in Israel experienced a surge after the market closed on Sunday, driven primarily by significant gains in several sectors.

In Tel Aviv, a notable increase of 2.60% was recorded, setting a new record high for the market.

Amongst the top performers in this session were NICE Ltd, which experienced an 8.81% rise, equivalent to 5,790.00 points, closing at 71,500.00. Similarly, Tower Semiconductor Ltd saw an increase of 6.86% or 1,110.00 points, ending at 17,280.00. Mizrahi Tefahot also had a successful trading period, with a 3.90% increase, or 610.00 points, closing at 16,260.00.

On the other hand, not all stocks performed as well. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd fell by 0.89% or 58.00 points, closing at 6,478.00. OPC Energy Ltd also declined by 0.87%, or 27.00 points, closing at 3,066.00, and Nova fell by 0.79% or 600.00 points, ending at 74,900.00.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange saw more stocks rise than fall, with 345 stocks increasing compared to 114 declining, and 80 remaining unchanged.

Mizrahi Tefahot’s shares reached an all-time high, rising by 3.90% or 610.00 to 16,260.00.

In the commodities market, crude oil for December delivery fell by 2.74% or 1.98 to $70.38 a barrel. Brent oil for January delivery also saw a decrease, falling by 2.33% or 1.76 to $73.87 a barrel. Gold Futures contract for December also fell by 0.41% or 11.00, trading at $2,694.80 per troy ounce.

In the currency exchange market, the USD/ILS increased by 0.81% to 3.75, while the EUR/ILS remained unchanged at 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures saw an increase of 0.50%, closing at 104.89.”
