Trump’s Tirade Goes Off Track as Supporters of Harris Begin to Foster Optimism – POLITICO

Title: The Intriguing Narrative of Mike’s Pillows and Political Rallies

During a recent political gathering in the fluctuating state of North Carolina, former President Donald Trump appeared bewildered. At a certain point, he incorrectly implied to the audience that his location was Pennsylvania. Interestingly, he narrated a whimsical tale involving the infamous Chicago mobster Al Capone, who passed away in 1947, and MyPillow’s CEO Mike Lindell. In the narrative, Lindell, a prominent Trump supporter, supposedly offered pillows to Capone at a dinner.

Trump jokingly warned, “If Capone had a poor night’s sleep due to Mike’s pillows, Mike’s survival chances would be slim. Al Capone would likely get rid of Mike, who might end up buried in a building foundation. Consequently, Mike would vanish, never to be seen again. Therefore, Mike would not wish to dine with Scarface.” This left the audience disoriented and unsure of their response.

In another unexpected twist, Trump insinuated that Hannibal Lecter, the antagonist from the horror movie “The Silence of the Lambs,” was an actual undocumented immigrant.

On the other hand, Kamala Harris confidently expressed at a Michigan rally that her campaign was gaining traction. Senior officials from the Harris camp argued that their internal data indicated that the vice president was ahead with late-deciding voters by a significant margin. A poll conducted by the New York Times/Siena College also showed Harris taking the lead.

Moreover, a separate poll by the Des Moines Register showed Harris marginally ahead of Trump in Iowa, a state previously assumed to be a sure win for the Republican candidate.

Research combining a large-scale poll of 31,000 participants with individual surveys from swing states hinted that Harris was in a favorable position to win.

The reporting was contributed by Lisa Kashinsky from Lititz, Pennsylvania, Andrew Howard from Washington, D.C., and Elena Schneider from Michigan.
