Airbus, the renowned aircraft manufacturer, announced its third-quarter earnings on Thursday, surpassing the forecasts of market analysts. The company remains confident in its annual projections for the year.
The third quarter witnessed an impressive operating profit, a significant indicator of profitability, of €1.41 billion. This represents an increase of 39% compared to the same quarter last year, with revenue also climbing by 5% to €1.41 billion.
This strong financial performance was driven by an increased contribution from the Airbus Helicopters division. The company highlighted the growth in helicopter deliveries and a favourable mix of commercial aircraft deliveries as key factors in its success.
In terms of earnings per share, Airbus saw an increase from €1.02 in the previous year to €1.24 in this year’s third quarter.
Looking ahead to the rest of the year, Airbus remains optimistic, estimating around 770 commercial aircraft deliveries and an adjusted EBIT of approximately €5.5B.
The financial results of Airbus Group SE were released after the close of European markets and saw a slight decrease of 0.4% on Wednesday.
