Toronto’s devastating car crash on Thursday has left four individuals dead and another in critical condition. The accident occurred post-midnight when a vehicle collided with a wall and caught fire.
The vehicle was carrying five occupants at the time of the incident. The authorities confirmed the tragic demise of four of them, while the fifth, a female survivor, was rescued from the burning vehicle. She is now expected to recuperate from her serious injuries, which are non-life-threatening.
Emergency services were quick to respond, extinguishing the fire caused by the crash. The survivor was rushed to the local hospital for treatment.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. The authorities have imposed temporary road closures on Lake Shore Boulevard, between Cherry Street and the Don Valley Parkway, to facilitate the investigation process.
