Footage reveals presence of North Korean soldiers at a Russian military facility – POLITICO

POLITICO has been unable to validate the authenticity of the videos or their content independently.

The videos surfaced on the internet at the same time as NATO leader Mark Rutte informed media personnel on Friday that he couldn’t corroborate claims that North Koreans were actively participating in war efforts as soldiers.

As per the analysis of open-source intelligence experts, Agentstvo suggests that the video was possibly filmed near Sergeyevka village in Primorye, a region in Russia’s far east, roughly 200 kilometers away from North Korea.

Speculations surrounding Pyongyang’s direct involvement have been circulating since South Korea publically cautioned that Pyongyang was preparing to escalate its participation in the Kremlin’s war endeavors, ranging from supplying artillery to deploying up to 12,000 troops.

Earlier this week, Kyiv officials reiterated these warnings.

On Friday, South Korea’s National Intelligence Service announced that 1,500 special forces troops had already been stationed in Russia.

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, dismissed the news of North Korea’s involvement in the war last week as mere “fake news”.
